UROC accepting non-oncology clinical trial proposals until November 27

The next deadline to submit proposals for non-oncology clinical trials to be conducted at UW and UW Health is Monday, November 27.

The UW Health/SMPH Research Operations Committee (UROC) will meet to review the proposals on Wednesday, December 6. Studies submitted after the deadline will be reviewed in 2024.

All proposed non-oncology trials that utilize UW Health services, personnel, facilities and/or engage with UW Health patients need to undergo committee review to assess the operational feasibility of the study. Oncology-focused trials are required to go through the UW Carbone Cancer Center’s Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee (PRMC).

All studies are required to be in OnCore prior to UROC review. Those who do not have access to OnCore should visit the OnCore KnowledgeBase (KB) page for information about OnCore access, protocols that are required to be in OnCore and training resources.

The submission deadline for the first UROC meeting of 2024 is Monday, January 8th. View the 2024 submission cycle here.

Please visit the UROC KB page for more information on UROC and the submission and review process. Questions may be directed to the UROC administrator at UROCAdmin@med.wisc.edu.
