UW Health is at a pivotal juncture, poised to optimize workflows, healthcare technology, and partnerships. Over a decade ago, Epic served as the cornerstone of UW Health’s healthcare technologies. At that time, customization was necessary to maximize the benefits of Health Link, but this approach has become less desirable, contributing to unwarranted variation across the system of care and requiring continuance of laborious and costly customizations.
Since then, Epic has evolved in functionality, workflow relevancy, and industry standards utilization. As the healthcare industry considers automation (AI, CDS), data-informed operations, and increased costs (both fiscal and human centered), the industry must embrace a new approach. At this presentation, learn more about UW Health’s plans to transform Health Link to best meet the needs of patients, clinical teams, and partners. UW Health believes this is necessary to ensure the best possible solution and move forward with a system that enables the next generation of the electronic health record.
This webinar is open to UW–Madison faculty, staff, and students and UW Health employees.
