The International Association of Clinical Research Nurses (IACRN) annual conference offers clinical research nurses (CRNs) the opportunity to build on current knowledge, share personal experience, and network with national and international CRN colleagues while addressing the educational needs of the CRN. The dynamic and complex global landscape of clinical research has an impact on the professional development activities for CRNs. Knowledge and skills vary widely, with new CRNs practicing at a novice level and others with more advanced knowledge and skills practicing at an expert level. Through the international specialty practice, CRNs make significant contributions to the clinical research enterprise. The 2022 conference will focus on advancement in clinical research nursing through cultivating and building the specialty practice.
Please note that the conference offers the option to attend in-person or virtually and includes several recorded lectures, including a presentation from a member of the UW Clinical Research Office, Tamara Kempken Mehring. Her presentation is titled, “Clinical Research Nursing: A Bridge to the Future”.
