Introduction to ClinicalTrials.gov

The virtual Research Forums series is open to UW–Madison faculty, staff, and students and UW Health employees.

In this Introduction to ClinicalTrials.gov, we will review a brief history of CT.gov including its original intent and the relevant laws, policies, guidance, best practices, and advocacy groups that have shaped CT.gov into its present form. We will also provide a brief review of the Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS) and how the UW uses this data entry portal for disclosure of clinical trials information to the public site.
