Bader recognized with Academic Staff Excellence Award

Lynda Bader, director of clinical trials strategic initiatives for the UW Clinical Trials Institute, was recently named a recipient of an Academic Staff Excellence Award, presented by the Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents.

Bader earned this well-deserved honor due to her efforts to advance clinical research innovation at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and UW Health.

“We are so incredibly proud of Lynda Bader and all of her accomplishments,” said Betsy Nugent, chief clinical research officer, UW School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health. “Without a doubt, the success and growth in clinical trials at UW could not have happened without Lynda’s skill in strategy and leadership. Please join us in celebrating Lynda’s recognition by the Regents.”

The Academic Staff Excellence Awards “recognize exceptional service to the university are are the Universities of Wisconsin’s highest recognition bestowed on members of its academic staff.”

“My strategy for success is to never stop trying to be qualified for the job,” Bader said. “One has to keep pace and adapt, to stay relevant and advance relevant work.” As a first-generation college student, she acknowledged the invaluable support she received along the way from educators, advisors, and others who “took me under their wing and empowered me to excel … with the skills, personal resources, and confidence to start my professional journey.”
