UW Clinical Research Office statement on Clinical Trials Day

Clinical Trials Day on May 20 is a nationwide effort to “recognize the people who conduct clinical trials and say thanks for what they do every day to improve public health.” It is in that spirit that we would like to take a moment to thank the outstanding people at UW Health and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health who work tirelessly to make our clinical research community exceptional.

Our principal investigators, research teams, clinical partners, and administrative staff at our school and at UW Health collaborate effectively, day in and day out, to support our clinical trials participants who are integral to advancing medical discovery. This collaboration was never more evident as our clinical research community rose to the many challenges of the pandemic, making sacrifices and adapting to an ever-changing landscape to continue to bring important research to our patients and community.

Again, we thank our clinical research professionals for all that you do. And please take a moment in your busy day to reflect on all that we have achieved in this past year. We are proud to stand with you as colleagues as we all work toward our shared mission of moving medicine forward for individuals, families, and communities across Wisconsin and beyond!

Sincerely,
