Requesting UW Health Clinical Space & Nursing Resources for Research

Jann Pfaff, Nurse Scientist, and Jessica Branson, Manager-Nursing Practice and Professional Development, will be presenting on UW Health policies and processes related to research teams’ requests to recruit nurses as study subjects, use nurses to complete research activities, or use UW Health clinical spaces to complete research activities.

Objectives of this presentation:

• Provide contacts at UW Health for when studies are either recruiting nurses as participants or needing nursing to complete research activities.
• Provide an overview of recently updated UW Health Nursing Administrative Policy 3.11 Research: Obtaining Nursing Resources and Support and 3.23 Research: Conducting Nursing Research at UW Health.
• Provide an overview of the Nursing Research Intake Form for Research—Nurses as Research Participants and Nursing Research Intake Form for Research—Nursing Resources and UW Health Facilities
• Provide an overview of workflow at UW Health when a Intake Form for Research is submitted by a research team.
