Capitini, chief of the Division of Hematology, Oncology, Transplant and Cellular Therapy in the Department of Pediatrics and the Jean R. Finley Professor in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, succeeds Howard Bailey, MD, who retired after nearly 10 years as Carbone Cancer Center’s director and 36 years as a cancer physician and researcher at UW.
