UW Recognized as a ‘Center of Excellence’ by the PKD Foundation

The UW PKD Clinic at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and UW Health has been recognized as a “Center of Excellence” by the PKD Foundation. UW was chosen due to its elite level of comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care and access to leading clinical research and new therapies for patients with polycystic kidney disease (PKD). PKD causes uncontrolled growth of cysts in the kidney, leading to kidney failure.

The UW PKD Clinic, led by Dr. Gauri Bhutani, was established in 2016 to help provide state-of-the-art patient care to individuals with PKD in Wisconsin and neighboring areas. The Clinic also serves as a leading site for PKD clinical trials for patients who are interested in participating in research.
