UW clinical research nurses participate in international conference

Five UW–Madison clinical research nurses recently attended and played active roles in the International Association of Clinical Research Nurses (IACRN)’s annual conference in Atlanta.

Some highlights …

UW Health’s Tamara Kempken Mehring received the Distinguished Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) Award.

Tamara and Tammy Kiger, also with UW Health, presented a poster on the work being done around ‘Building Nursing Infrastructure for Clinical Trials at an Academic Medical Center’.

UW Health’s Sarah Rusch presented a poster on the work being done around “UW-CRU Theranostic Collaborations“.

UW Health’s Carla Croft presented a virtual poster about “Clinical Research Documentation in the Electronic Health Record.”

The CRN’s who attended the conference would like to thank the UW Health Department of Nursing, the UW Clinical Research Office, the UW SMPH, and the UW Carbone Cancer Center for their ongoing support of the specialty practice of clinical research nursing.
